Veterinary Medicine Radiation Safety Refresher

This self-paced, online course is designed to give experienced MU Veterinary Medicine Radiation Workers and Authorized Users a refresher on the radiation safety program at MU. The course content includes, but is not limited to, basic regulatory information and radiation safety program structure, basic radiation safety science, radiation exposure and dose limits, associated MU specific limits of contamination and radiation exposure, dose reduction techniques, surveys and instrumentation, purchase and receipt of radioactive material, security and safe handling, disposal of radioactive materials, spill response, and important information for the Authorized User.

The course is available through Blackboard. To register for this course, please complete this form and allow up to 1-2 weeks for the course to appear on your Blackboard course list. Upon logging into Blackboard, click on the “VMTH Radiation Safety Training” link under your course list, select “VM Radiation Safety Refresher” and follow the instructions provided to complete the course.
